Walker Component Group is serious about quality! Field failure is costly. Product quality for our OEM customers is critical. To that end, we aim for zero defect production and are ISO 9001 certified. How do we produce quality? With continuous improvement thinking and practices from raw component receiving and documentation to finished goods and customer feedback.

Quality training: Our highly skilled workers are IPC620A trained, the industry standard for cable assembly services, by our certified testing staff. Manufacturer and customer specific training occurs as needed.

Quality processes: Walker Component Group is registered as a UL manufacturer and is REACH, RoHS, FDA, CSA and MIL-SPEC compliant. We are experienced in a variety of quality control processes, as well as preventative and corrective action planning including PPAP and FMEA. Tools and equipment are calibrated and maintained on a regularly-scheduled basis by industry experts. Customer products, documentation and processes are secure and confidential.

Quality testing: Walker Component Group utilizes industry-leading test equipment such as Cirris, Mitutoyo and Fluke for continuity, HIPOT, pull, voltage, destructive and non-destructive product tests to meet customer-specified requirements.

Continuous improvement: Our defects per million opportunities (DPMO) metrics are well-below industry averages, with some of our production lines carrying a 5-sigma DPMO value. Our on-time delivery (OTD) is one of the best in the industry due to constant efforts to decrease lead times and avoid line-down scenarios with any of our customers. Walker Component Group is a 5S operation, with everyone from assemblers to management engaging in 5S best-practices. At all levels of the organization, continuous improvement plans are executed, tracked and addressed regularly. Opportunities for improvement are also sought through internal and customer quality audits and through Kaizen events.
